US Account Manager - Full Time (US Based role)

In this role, you will be expected to show up for people in a variety of ways. Your number one job is to support people including clients, team members, suppliers and contractors, and students. Your impeccable communication skills and project management skills will enable you to succeed. 

Our ideal account manager has extensive experience in managing Facebook and Instagram ads for online course creators and is nothing short of obsessed with the live launching online marketing model. 

You lead with compassion and kindness, you pride yourself on how organised you are and probably funnel-hack other course launches in your spare time. 

This is a remote, full-time position reporting to our CEO, Salome who is based in Brisbane, Australia. You will be expected to be available for meetings regularly after 4pm but never later than 9pm Pacific. Your team members will be located around Australia and The Phillippines and you will be the first point of contact for clients across the US, Canada and Europe. 

This role requires you to work Monday to Friday. The nature of the role and the timezones you have to navigate as part of this role does allow a degree of flexibility in daily work hours. We’re cool with that as long as you’re an engaged leader who takes ownership of managing your workload, are engaged and available to your team, and gets results for our clients. 

Due to the nature of the work, there are busy seasons and quiet seasons. When we are in launch season (usually Spring and Fall in the US) your workload will increase and you will be expected to maintain the same level of service as you do during quieter seasons. 

You will also have daily student support tasks that could range from answering questions in a Facebook community to hosting live Q and A calls with students. You will need to be able to coach students to learn well thought through strategies, not just “spaghetti-on-the-wall” tactics. 

Your salary is negotiable and includes paid holidays 20 days per year. Since you will be employed by an Australian company you will be responsible for your own tax contributions, 401K and healthcare contributions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As the Account Manager, you will be responsible for supporting our clients to implement successful online course launches. That means that you are their first point of contact, you are their project manager, you offer strategic marketing support and you liaise with our other team members and contractors to get the job done, get it done well and get it done on time. 

You will also be expected to stay on top of new trends in online marketing and advertising, social media marketing and what’s working now for online course creators to launch more profitably. 

You will show up to support and encourage, educate and coach our students every day.

You will be responsible for…

  1. Relationship management
    • Clients will look to you for confidence, clarity and guidance. You will be their ‘safe space’ offering encouragement, strategic support, and helping them help you to get great ads up on time every time
    • You will work collaboratively and respectfully with the Ads Managers and provide them with the information they need to create and manage successful ad campaigns. 
    • You will effectively manage copywriters and designers to get work done on time and to our agreed standards
    • You will offer support to students in Facebook groups and on live Q and A calls
    • You’ll participate in regular meetings with the entire team, your Ads Manager and the Marketing Team. 
  2. Deploying strategies that work
    • You will take each new client through a thorough launch planning process to ensure that they know exactly what we need from them to help them succeed. 
    • You will interpret ad results for clients so that they understand the strategies and any reasons for changes to strategies based on data
    • Staying on top of new trends and what’s working in digital marketing, online course launching and Facebook and Instagram advertising
  3. Project management
    • You will map out a clear plan for every client before launching into implementation and get client buy-in before moving forward.
    • You will manage deadlines effectively and with plenty of time to spare without going into hustle mode or leaving any team member or client with last-minute or weekend work that could have been prevented.
  4. Quality control 
    • You will at all times ensure that all copy or design collateral live up to our standards and the ad strategies we deploy serve the client’s greater marketing needs. 
    • Always be in the know of what’s going on and be flexible and resourceful enough to create a new game plan when something doesn’t go as planned. 
  5. Content Creation
    • Support Salome to create and deliver top quality content on the podcast The Shine Show, inside our paid programs and in other free training we provide. 

 

Skills and Abilities:

The ideal candidate will possess the following strengths and skills

  • 3-5 years experience in working with Facebook and Instagram advertising
  • You’ve completed at least one robust Facebook ads training (Molly Pittman, Cat Howell, Rick Mulready or Digital Marketer preferred.)
  • Well versed in live online course launch funnels and have completed training programs such as Jeff Walker’s Product Launch Formula, Amy Porterfield’s Digital Course Academy, James Wedmore’s Business By Design or other comparable courses. You will need to show evidence of your knowledge of online course launch funnels
  • You are committed to your own ongoing education and can demonstrate ways you are currently investing in your education. 
  • Motivation comes easily to you, you’re a self-starter but you also love collaboration and working with a talented team. 
  • Juggling multiple projects and to-do’s simultaneously while still staying organized is no problem for you — you work well under pressure, meet deadlines and keep promises.
  • The ability to organize, motivate and work with different personality types virtually and across multiple timezones to accomplish a specific goal. 
  • You’re tech-savvy and always willing to learn. Familiarity with Slack, Google Drive, Zoom, Monday, and Apple devices is a plus. 
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) — you love working with a team and your communication style is clear, kind, and concise.

  • You have a good computer and high-speed internet to complete your daily tasks.

Firstly, we help established online course creators scale their online business to create more profits and more freedom as their Facebook and Instagram advertising partners in the agency. We also teach and coach new online course creators on the methods that are working now to find their best audiences and make their first sales to those audiences using Facebook and Instagram ads. Finally, we will be establishing a Launch Ads Manager Certification program in 2021 that will be a large part of the support you will provide in this role.
